Naturally, if I dig Spidey's black costume, you'd expect that I dig Venom's look as well, right?  Guilty as charged.  For this one I wanted the simpler look that Todd MacFarlane drew when Venom first hit the scene.  As much as I like the slobbering super-psychotic Venom, I like the clean sinister look of this one, too.  Venom was made from a DC Superheroes Bizarro body with a ToyBiz Marvel Legends Sabertooth's hands which had to be modified by adding a small machine screw at the wrist so they would fit in the wrist sockets.  The head was sculpted from Aves Fixit Sculpt.  The highlights were airbrushed and Venom's tendrils were made with the plastic twist ties that hold figures in their packaging dipped 3-4 times in black Plasti-Dip.
